Mountain View, September 2024
We had an exceptional time at the 50th Wearable Technologies Conference in the USA, where the spotlight shone brightly on the WT Innovation World Cup® final pitch and award ceremony. The finalists presented their solutions in front of an esteemed jury, showcasing their innovations with passion and expertise.
Congratulations to the TOP 3 winners who captured our imagination with their solutions:
First Place: Healthsign – smart wristband is a sleek single-piece device worn around the wrist that conveniently and accurately monitors temperature, blood oxygen saturation, blood pressure, heart rate, respiration rate, motion, and location. They develop clinical-grade medical devices to combat the most challenging illnesses like hypertension, chronic obstructive summary disease, heart failure, and atrial fibrillation.
Second Place: ReMinded – Setting a New Standard for Mental Healthcare – portable, non-invasive device detects a certain set of saliva biomarkers tied to stress. By integrating these quantitative metrics, they aim to simplify the identification and prevention of prolonged stress and indications of depression that may otherwise remain undetected.
Third Place: upLYFT – Wearable Robotics – a non-invasive solution to manage musculoskeletal degeneration for ageing adults and the elderly. They build smart wearables to improve muscle and bone health whilst mitigating falls.
These remarkable innovators are redefining the future of wearable technology, pushing the limits of what’s possible in both technology and healthcare.
We also want to recognize all the finalists who competed and showcased their impressive advancements: airCode, Bispectral EEG solution – Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University, Freebionics, IntelliSafe Analytics, PranaQ, ReMinded, Stanford University – Spezi, Stanford University – a Neuromonitoring Platform for Precision Mental Health.
The future of wearables is indeed bright, and we can’t wait to see how these innovations will shape the industry. Congrats to everyone!
