CloudEO is seeking for innovative “GEO” Solutions with the Cloud Innovation World Cup
Herrsching, 06. March 2014 – The Cloud Innovation World Cup, global competition for innovations within the segment cloud computing is pleased to announce the partnership with CloudEO, an online collaboration platform that enables to create, interpret, use, and market geo content and services. With the “GEO Award” the new partner CloudEO is seeking solutions to integrate geospatial information and provide additional benefit to the cloud based service offered. The new partnership opens an exciting new facet for the Innovation World Cup Community and enriches the international competition with new application possibilities for Cloud based solutions and services.
Every activity is related to a geographical location. For application fields like agriculture, forestry, transportation and mobility, it is clear that the geo position is crucial to evaluate the current status and take the right course of action for each location. Cities and rural areas need information about critical points of interest like roads, bridges, buildings, and further information linked to it like satellite images about congestion or pollution. And even other industrial sectors use geographical data to optimize their processes, for example Smart Metering or the surveillance of infrastructures.
With CloudEO further application areas are opened. The “GEO Award” supports the spotting of new solutions in the areas Mobility, Urban Infrastructure, ICT Business Services, Smart Living and Industry 4.0. Developers and innovators can submit their cloud solution for free until April 15, 2014. The categories are: ICT Business Services, Smart Living, Mobility, Urban Infrastructure, Industry 4.0, and the special prizes “Evolve Insurance Award” and “GEO Award”. After April 15, 2014 the submissions will be assessed and judged by an international team of experts. The Cloud Innovator of the Year and the Category Winners of the Cloud Innovation World Cup 2013/14 will be awarded at the Cloud World Forum, taking place in the Olympia National Hall in London on June 17th – 18th.
