ONKÖL by ONKÖL
At ONKÖL, we believe Mom should be able to use any Internet of Things sensor and have its information delivered directly to those who care about her. Our first product is the ONKÖL base station, a health and home communications hub for families and caregivers. Unlike other devices targeted at the elderly, the ONKÖL hub is beautiful to look at, incredibly simple to use, and open in its architecture. It uses Bluetooth, Bluetooth LE, Sub-GHz, WiFi, Zigbee, Ethernet, USB, and POTS line for inbound sensor inputs, and uses Cellular for all outbound communications. Its open architecture accommodates a wide variety of home and health sensors from multiple vendors, and then communicates that information to family, caregivers, and platforms used by medical professionals. Because of its internal sophistication, it can send the information directly to the destination, without the need for an intervening cloud.
