Anticipation is mounting – who will be named winner of the M2M Challenge?
Munich, February 12, 2013 – Registering a broad collection of new solutions, the submission period for novel M2M applications ended with over 200 participants demonstrating the huge innovation potential in the world of machine-to-machine communication. With contestants from 44 countries, this first round of the M2M Challenge innovation competition has already proven to be a great success.
Headed by Robin Duke-Woolley, CEO of Beecham Research and renowned figure in the M2M industry, a panel of experts evaluated the submissions and nominated two finalists for each category followed by an overall winner. “Having solutions that leverage the power and versatility of M2M connectivity is vital to drive market adoption,” states Gerhard Schedler, Head of M2M Centre of Competence, Swisscom. “We were very pleased with the quality and creativity of this years submissions.”

The competition winner will receive a cash prize of 5,000 dollars and all finalists will be recognized and invited to present their solutions to the audience of international industry and media representatives assembled with support from sponsors and partners.
