San Francisco / Munich, 02 February 2015 – The most innovative wearables worldwide have been selected by the international jury of the WT Wearable Technologies Innovation World Cup. More than 500 developers and innovators from around the globe submitted their market-ready wearable solutions in the Sports & Fitness, Healthcare & Wellness, Gaming & Lifestyle, Safety & Security, and Smart Clothing categories. The 22 Innovation World Cup finalists and the 5 designated world champions will become the future stars in wearable technologies. The official award ceremony and the announcement of the winners took place at the 14th WT Wearable Technologies Conference.

“WT Innovator of the Year” is Sendrato Smart Festival Wristbands by Sendrato BV (Netherlands). The jury members were won over by the ease of use, the look-and feel of the product, and the real-time entertainment features overcoming communication bottlenecks at huge events.
“Sports & Fitness” Champion:
StretchSense by StretchSense Ltd. (New Zealand). StretchSense fabric sensors disappear into garments while providing accurate measurements of motion.
